MOLLERIC CHEESE seed

Origin: Can Güell, Serinyà, Pla de l'Estany.

This variety has been located between the north of Pla de l'Estany and the south of Garrotxa. It is characterized by having a very small grain and with green tones. Its cooking is fast and, once cooked, it practically triples its volume giving a yield practically the same as the conventional ones (small chickpea -Pedrosillano-).

It is characterized by a mild, slightly sweet taste, and by the small presence of skin.

At cultivation level, it is done in the dry season between January and March depending on the climate zone (January -coastal and pre-coastal-, March -inland areas-). It does not present special sensitivity to anger. At a distance of 70x30 cm. It is collected towards the end of July.
